Man United 2-0 Tottenham - Match Report

A late goal from Nani and a first-half header by Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic ensured Tottenham's 21-year wait for victory on United's turf continued.
United captain Vidic opened the scoring after 31 pulsating minutes before Nani reacted quickest to some goalmouth confusion to prod home five minutes from time.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side started quickly, and, with just two minutes gone, United rattled the woodwork when Ji-Sung Park's 22-yard effort beat Gomes but came back off the foot of the post.
But on nine minutes, the post came to United's rescue when Rafael van der Vaart pounced on Vidic's slip and hit a curling 20-yard shot that smacked Edwin van der Sar's far post.
Park and Rafael then dragged shots wide while former Spurs midfielder Michael Carrick hit a vicious drive that Gomes almost spilled to the feet of Nani.
United finally got the breakthrough in the 32nd minute when Vidic rose to expertly glance home Nani's delivery.
The second half started slowly with half chances for Nani and Javier Hernandez before Spurs' man of the moment Gareth Bale drove at the United defence but his shot drifted wide.
Spurs went even closer on 74 minutes when substitute Roman Pavlyuchenko's speculative effort deflected off Vidic and just wide of the United goal.
But the home side wrapped up the win in controversial circumstances when Nani seized on Gomes' error and landed United three precious points.
